BackOffice Associates was originally founded to solve business’ data challenges. Over the last 20 years they have become leading data experts, trusted by clients everywhere. When they set out, their name reflected what they did. But since then the role of data has evolved.What was once a back office function is now a strategic growth driver with a seat at the boardroom table. In the digitally transformed world, data-empowered companies are reinventing industries, shaping the world: data’s evolving, the world’s evolving, so it was time for the brand to evolve too.

Solution

Studio Everywhere worked closely with Syniti’s then CMO, Zarina Stanford, executive team and board to uncover and articulate a powerful brand platform, global name, and new ‘living visual, verbal and sonic identity system that would capture their growth ambitions and help shape the brand into the future. All in 8 weeks.

outcome

Our work won eight Transform Magazine Awards between North American and Asia Pacific, including Gold for Best use of Sound, for the powerful sonic identity we developed with Tom Middleton (to express the concept of data in motion). We also created an animated brand film to explain the brand transformation story to employees and customers alike.

We have our own brand now. People recognise it, name it, and we have been able to evolve it within the framework. Syniti is now a ‘thing’ in the industry. We are all super happy with the work we did with Studio Everywhere - and how it’s lived on for the last three years.
